This is really good to see. They were fantastic - looks like they still are. Listening to the original recording, you're struck with how tight the sound is for a recording of that time. Excellent guitar playing reminiscent of early Harrison / Perkins. It's really nice to see them having fun and sounding so good.

Just like to mention I bought the original 45 rpm and LP records and still have them in my collection. I'm 62 now I'm not worth much now but these vinyls must be. Great music and talent. I love how they did 'Jack of Diamonds' on the LP.

This stuff is SO GREAT,and one of the very best L.P.'S in my whole collection, and I'm proud to say that my copy is ORIGINAL.
I think THE DRUMMER also added a lot to make this sound so great. There really isn't a bad cut on the whole L.P.!"koo-Koo","Beach Party",etc.
prove that there was a lot more to the FABULOUS Fendermen, than just their classic "Muleskinner Blues"!

I met Phil at my end of enlistment party at the Great Lakes naval base 20 years ago. He was with the bad that was playing at the club. When he got up and did Mule Skinner I nearly fell out of my chair. He's a great entertainer and one seriously cool guy. He was even kind enough to write to me later. Needless to say finding this video was a thrill.
Thank you Phil. You rock!

Thank you for posting this vid! Now I can die in peace. Total classic, one of a kind song. I would love to know the history of how it came to be. First heard this when I was 14. The other neighborhood guys thought The Fendermen were car repair guys. Not me boy, I knew freekin' immediately Fender meant a guitar! and probably a 3 pick up Strat. My friends were sooo lame. Wolfman Jack used to howl along to this on XERF in ole' Del Rio. Well, thanks a bunch. GL

This was my all-time favorite song. I went to see you play 3 times at the Monteray Ballroom
in Owatonna, Minn. with Bill Diehl from WDGY. I totally wore out 3 original 45's. I wish someone would post your original version of 'Don't You Just Know It'. Thanks again for the incredible sound of a memory. You still sound GREAT!!!
