pfft In Thailand, we pay for it in monthly installments over 2 years for the 16GB model = 2100 baht per month. That's 60$ per month. 60*24 = 1440$ in total. Kind of a rip but we don't even have 3G here yet.

By my diagnosis the iphone 3G won't drop its price at least until mid June, but then it's still not going to be much; however price will drop more and more (exponentially) further down the road. I suggest you craigslist for it as you can still bargain.

I love my iPhone 3G, but im kinda pissed of at the shabby build quality. Firstly my one has a light leak on the left side which I have heard has become a common problem, secondly the screen hasn't been aligned properly so on the right side the aluminium bezel is about half a mm higher than the screen, while on the left side its almost perfectly flush ...
